About SI for this Course
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a free service provided to students by the Academic Success Center. Three fifty-minute SI sessions will be held each week, and these sessions will bolster confidence and understanding of the course material presented in lectures. Attending SI sessions is voluntary, and is not a required component of MATH 265.
With that being said, SI sessions provide structure to your study schedule and allow you to gain both a deeper and more wholistic understanding of MATH 265 content. In addition, quantitative evidence gathered by the Academic Success Center indicates that students who regularly attend SI sessions earn higher marks, on average.
Group discussion, encouraged questions, and learning activities create an informal environment for solidifying your understanding of Calculus.
On Sunday 9/22 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM, I will be cohosting a comprehensive review for Exam 1 in Troxel 1001 with my colleague, Ashish. I am hosting this extended SI session in lieu of regular sessions on Sunday 9/22 and Tuesday 9/24 from 4:10PM - 5:00PM and 6:10PM - 7:00PM, respectively. I encourage attending multiple exam reviews and utilizing time well to prepare for this first exam.
