About SI for this Course
Supplemental Instruction is a free, optional-attendance program that accompanies traditionally hard courses at ISU. SI allows students to gain a better understanding of the material by working among themselves and with their peers. Each week, I will be holding 3 50-minute sessions about the material currently being discussed in lecture.
My sessions will typically involve small and large group activities and I will be posting a worksheet to go along with each lecture and session. While we will not always be using the worksheets in session, I still think they are wonderful resources and would highly recommend looking at them before session if possible. I will not be posting keys for these worksheets, but you should be able to find all of the answers from the lecture notes. If you are stumped on a question, feel free to email me or find me after class and I can help you through it. I'd also be happy to check your answers if you would like to email them to me.
If you do happen to have any questions about the worksheets or the course content, feel free to find me before or after class! You can also contact me directly using the "Contact Your SI Leader" tab on this page. I am extremely excited to be your SI leader this semester and I hope to see many of you in my sessions!
Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I will be holding an exam review on Monday, September 23rd from 5:30-7:30 in Kildee 0105. We will probably doing some kahoot questions, a jeopardy game, and a simplified version of the phylogeny activity to help prepare you fully for the exam. If you have any questions, please let me know!
