About SI for this Course
Hey everyone!! I want to share with you all a little insight on SI and some of the amazing benefits that come along with it! SI stands for Supplemental Instruction which is peer facilitated study sessions that are held 3 times a week. We will practice course material that was talked about in lecture and answer any questions you may have. My goal is to have us all work together and support each other through this amazing course we call Calc 1. We will do all different activities such as working in groups on white boards, different games, and even worksheets. I want to give you lots of extra practice outside of lecture so you feel confident, less anxious, and excited to advance your knowledge in Calc! You will also get to meet and work with some of your fellow class mates which will only add to your support system. You can come every session, or come only once or twice, but remember that SI is completely free and is proven to increase students GPA significantly so check it out! I am 100% here for you and want to help you succeed this semester so don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Just a reminder, SI is not just for when you are struggling, the extra practice helps keep you a head of the game so you are successful and confident in this course. The times and dates of my sessions are below.
Tuesday: 4:00pm in Carver 0074
Wednesday: 6:00pm in Pearson 2143
Thursday: 4:00pm in Kildee 0105
